Origin seems to work as gate rather than taking you to your starting city. If this is intended, I apologize. Bound myself outside of perma earlier, origin'd to get back to Qeynos and ended up 2 feet away.

yes it is intended to work as a gate

I believe if you read its description it actually says "Returns you to your bind point" or something to that effect. Pretty sure it's intended to be that way.
