Following this description of the event:

Everything starts out fairly normal but with all characters in the room we get more guards instantly after killing the last one. In addition, the guards don't seem to despawn and the remaining guards don't prevent more from spawning on a subsequent attempt.

Will look into this one. Probably won't be a super simple fix, but is definitely doable.

Part of this might be that the description of the beginning of the encounter on Allakhazam is not that precise. From what I'm reading now it seems like we are supposed kill the High Priestess (Dark Apprentice here) before killing the last guard.
