I also found the cryptic page on the scarab monument, and another cryptic page to the north near the unkempt druid ring. But my quest journal did not update when I picked up either of the cryptic pages. I tried combining a piece of parchment + both cryptic pages + Fragment of Rathe in my "Spell Research Kit" just to see if it would work like the HighKeep teleportation quest. Unfortunately it just lets me know I cannot combine these items together.

I assumed it was a bug and reported it. The reply I got said that everything I described is working as intended, and that the quest journal gives a hint about the location of the cryptic pages. So those Rathe Mountain "cryptic pages" are a total mystery to me at this point. I have no idea if they do anything at all.

My quest journal eludes that the zone I need to find the cryptic pages in is "Upper Guk". I have been wandering and checking Upper Guk for some time for ground spawns as well as killing named mobs and PHs with no luck on even a single page. I should maybe start killing trash mobs in the off chance its a random drop off them. There is also a chance of some secret areas in Upper Guk that I am unaware of. I have been to the skeletal monk, behind the false wall below the Scyer, and behind the false wall behind the Shin Lord. I have also been checking inside the pots (with and without fire) as those seem like a sneaky place to hide a ground spawn.

A fresh pair of eyes would probably be more successful. Until then I will continue searching!

Has anyone managed to solve this quest yet?

When you walk near the scarab monument in Rathe Mountains as a wizard you receive this task.

It requires you to find 2 "cryptic pages" found in Upper Guk. Has anyone managed to find either of these cryptic pages? I have been searching upper guk for ground spawns as well as killing named mobs with no luck so far.

Any help/information would be appreciated.

I approached the scarab monument near the center of the Rathe mountains and was given this task on my wizard. I am required to loot 2 cryptic pages and 1 Fragment of Rathe. The quest journal window showing my "current tasks" tells me that the cryptic pages are both located in the zone "Upper Guk".

I thought that was odd, but continued to search Rathe Mountains for the items anyway. I located one page on the scarab monument and the other page near the unkempt druid ring. My quest tracker didn't update when I picked up either of those. I found the Fragment of Rathe around the scarab monument and the quest tracker did update for that. Because the quest didn't update for the 2 cryptic pages I looted, it will not reveal the final step of the task to me.

I would attempt to combine the items in my Spell Research Kit with some parchment to see if it works just like the HighKeep Teleportation questline, but I don't have any parchment and neither does "Zok Prak" The froglok "Research Supplies" merchant. In fact she doesn't have anything for sale (maybe a bug as well?).

When I zoned into Highkeep on my Wizard and ran a short way into the zone I was given the task "Wizard Teleportation (Highkeep)".

Highkeep is one of my favorite zones, and I had a lot of fun solving this one. For those who want to solve the quest themselves then stop reading now and head on over to Highkeep with a Wizard. If you need a hint or two to get you through the quest then read the next few lines. And if you want the full walkthrough you can look down past the hint section.

Hint 1

Both the focus stone, and the anchor are ground spawn items found in HighKeep

If you talk to Mistress Anna and tell her "I am working for Lady McCabe" her advice is surprisingly helpful.

The container you need to use to "infuse the items with parchment" is called "Spell Research Kit"

Full Walkthrough
-------------------
You need to first collect a focus stone, and an anchor. These are both ground spawn items located in HighKeep. They spawn on top of the left and right clifftops near the entrance courtyard. In order to reach the cliff tops you will need to climb to the top floor of highkeep and jump off the balconies onto the cliffs. One of the balconies is connected to the room Carson McCabe spawns.

Once you have collected both the focus stone and the anchor you need to combine them along with a "piece of parchment" in a container called "Spell Research Kit" I found mine on a merchant labeled "Research components" in the Freeport caster guild. I assume its a no-fail combine as I have 0 research skill.

You are rewarded with a Highkeep gate, portal, and translocate spell. The gate and portal spells are usable at lvl 23, and the translocate spell is lvl 36.
