Request:I would request the ability (perhaps through a specific set of npcs) to lower our character's level down. Explanation:- The characters would have their levels recorded (or xp) and then forced to 0xp into the level chosen.
- Any experience further levels you up, but is also tracked and added to the true xp. (It would not be as much as if you were hunting at higher levels, but still some. Maybe modify the amount by a value to produce a better gain for the true level?)
- This should accompany a spell bar emptying and/or forced AA refunding. (to prevent bar locking or use of passives when they could interfere with the story: I'm looking at you, Eternal Breath! Ok, maybe not you...)
Reasoning:- New players looking to group, but you have no toons in their range.
- A setting to certain areas (dungeons, raids) that force character above a certain level to temporarily be lower. (Prevent overkill in areas designed to tell a story)
- Testing of skills/spells/zones can be done across ranges far easier.

While you are hunting for the beast on two legs, be careful of the one with four. They roam past him.
If you are feeling adventurous, you can follow them...

While in G Fay, zone into L Fay and talk to the guy with wings. Ya can't miss him.

Would you be amenable to posting a list of zones that are not currently in-use/held for other reasons? It might help flesh out idea if people know some areas are open to concept designs. For instance:I, personally, have always wanted - the tunnels under Norrath to connect in interesting ways.
- Maybe even have a great underground war going on.
- Ever wanted a chance to raise your factions with Gnolls and be non-kos in Surefall/Qeynos?
- Ever know who the original owner of GnollBane was?
- And just what would happen if you handed the upgraded version to him...
But more detail than that would require me to know if certain zones were available to flesh out, so the story could reflect available zone conditions.

Different that other places: I am not certain who the main coders are or how far you wish to dig into the server changes, but something that other servers fail to do: They do not make the world a living world. Things that happen in one place should reflect across the world. Let the 'commoners' know that some group or player did something major. Let the players hear about other heros that may even be retired now. A database of phrases controlled by the Dev team, that feed into some npcs proximity or timers, that represent NPCs tendency to gossip between each other and overheard by the PC. All of this controlled by grouping lists of NPCs and 'percentage to say something' randomization. - Want to see someone discover an undiscovered quest?
NPC across the world (or just in some regions) start talking about something that happened in the starting region... - Want to inform players of things that may be coming up? Or an item that has not been found
Those two town guards were gossiping while you were walking out...

Of course. They weren't the ones that ruined their own lands!

(tl;dr): Do you make a storyline with your toons or just play the hunt?
Some folks like to push the system. Best combos based upon numbers.
But there are a few out there that make their toons fit a story. Most times, that I have seen, it is done by many different means.
My character Kamean was made to go with my (already made) gnome magi. I actually would have loved to make a Troll Ranger instead, just to make it an odd looking combo. ____________________________________________________
When you create a new toon, Do you make a the race/class combo to fit your group best or do you make the toon based upon an idea of a story?
Not really an either/or set of questions. Just a general query. If you think I am just getting senile in my old age, let me know that too!

Can we have the playeq site load up an icon for the web page to use in tabs and Favorites? Mine defaults to a basic icon, which many things do.
I feel this would help the server stand out.

GM for gnome rangers does not give text indicating items needed. Only that you 'do need a helm to survive' type message.
