Lucky The Beggar
« on: January 13, 2019, 04:19:27 pm »

Part 1
Hail the NPC Lucky the Beggar in High Keep entrance follow along with his dialog and he will as you for 50 platinum. Hand him the 50 Platinum and he will give you an item (with barbarian illusion) to deliver to Leopok Terrilon in Halas. Once you arrive give the item to Leopok and follow his dialog, he will give you a dark elf illusion item then send you to Grobb looking for Gluku (she is the weapons salesman in the SK guild hall in the far back). She will tell you that she only has half of the materials and the Guise of the forest elf (which you keep) and will send you to Kelethin to meet with Merchant Kwein (located on the first platform off of the middle lift). Hail Kwein and he will give you the second half of the item and send you back to Leopok Terrilon in Halas. Once, or before you're in Halas combine the second piece inside of the first piece and trade it into Leopok. Once this is done you will be sent back to Lucky the Beggar in which he will return to you 100 platinum for your work.

Part 2
After completing this there is a secondary quest available through him. Tell Lucky "who is she" and he will send you to the Karanas. From the Druid circle in North Karana you are looking for  Romella, i believe is her name, in the gypsy camp just north east from port in. Hail her and complete the dialog, sorry i do not remember the phrase, and an undead merchant will shout and spawn at the stone at the 3 way path just north east of the gypsy camp. He is immune to all attacks and spells hits for 150-200 around level 50 (was red at 47), and has ranged attacks (shoots arrows at you if you're running away) also can keep up with sow. Only one turn kill per group is required to get the flag. Once he is dead you will see another shout dialog and return to Romella and hail her, she will send you back to Lucky. Once you are back at Lucky hail him to receive the Prototype Vending Portal (summons a merchant with bags and food/water). If you are having a hard time defeating the undead merchant there is only 1 spell that works on him and it kills him quickly, but this spell does 0 damage by itself and all casters can use it Enchanters get this spell at 28.

Glad you got this to work! I spent about half an hour next to Romella trying to figure out what I needed to say to her and eventually gave up thinking it might be broken, so it's nice to know it isn't.

I am midway through this quest and goofed on the turn-in to Leopolk (My Troll's Mail Assembly Kit looked just like the barbarian illusion item, but was in fact HOLDING the item. Leopolk gave me my Assembly kit back without the barb item in it). Turns out there's a work-around. I handed the proper item in on my other toon and followed the quest dialogue. The phrase "I am willing" will get you the dark-elf mask and have you continue the quest. Not sure if you can do this without somebody having turned in the Barb item first, but both my characters were able to say the phrase and get the next mask.

Theoretically, a level 1 player could kill the ghoul, but would of course need the assistance of someone able to take the beating while doing so.  /hint off

Finished this quest today, the key phrase to get the ghoul to spawn in NK is "Yes I am".
